About The Author

Debbie R. Lucas;
Short Bio

Growing up I was fortunate to have traveled through and lived in many countries and States in the U.S. This taught me valuable learning about different cultures, people, societies, governments, etc.  I’m certain this set the stage for my journey following graduation.  I’ve created a short bullet list which does not include all my adventures.

I began public school at age 4, graduated at 17, attended 3 colleges and earned many certifications, awards and recognition for writing and being an advocate for the rights of all people.

  • I have one published book of poetry, however it is currently out of publication.

  • DESIGNED the WORLD FAMOUS MOTHER-INFANT art which is generally worn by people across the world.  I have kept the original since its inception.  I designed it for a pro-life march which was covered by the media.  Unfortunately, I had no understanding at that time the impact this drawing would have and I would receive no recognition.

  • The Catholic newspaper, “The One Voice” published numerous articles I wrote to promote equality of races in the U.S.

  • I wrote articles for, published, and edited the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center (RMNC) Newsletter, a non-profit nature preserve for 2+ years while serving as Acting Director.

  • Wrote 2 AWARD WINNING nature programs for school children.

  • AWARD for achievements from Ruffner Mountain Nature Center.

  • Helped establish an aftercare program at Hillcrest Hospital and served as a member of that Board of Directors until the death of a dear friend, who created the program.

  • Published poetry in The American Poetry Anthology located on campuses across the U.S.; RECOGNITION by Poet John Frost.

  • AWARD for fostering infants, also taught classes to potential foster care parents.  During this interim I adopted 2 babies whom I adore.

  • CERTIFICATIONS in Hypnotherapy, Advancement for Women, and more.

  • Chosen to represent the 3rd District of St. Clair County, AL by President Donald Trump.   Received recognition/AWARDS by the President for my services.

I am currently a representative of St. Clair County and Springville, AL.  With each adventure throughout my life, by choice or otherwise, my focus has always been intense.  At this point and because of the growing mound of my writings, I am determined to publish on my site.  Perhaps I will republish my first book of poetry which is by far the most unusual of all my work.  I started it at age 16 and each time I've read it, I’m amazed.  I would not experience what I wrote about for years to come.
